The NIT-38 Olive Analyser is a powerful near infrared spectrophotometer suitable for the analysis of oil and moisture in ground olives and acetic acid and moisture in virgin olive oil, using NIR transmission spectroscopy.
The olives need to be reduced to a pulp using a hammer mill. The pulp is loaded into a Squeeze Cell. The NIT-38 Olive Analyser uses a Sample Transport Module (STM) that moves the Squeeze Cell up and down through the light beam. Up to 15 separate measurements can be made in less than 1 minute and the average of the measurements displayed on the screen. The STM accepts sample cells for granules, pastes and slurries, liquids and powders.
